A richly textured portrait of a grey heath sheep, its dark, wild fleece rendered in deep browns and greys with striking bursts of amber curls framing its face. The piercing, pale eye and calm expression give the piece an almost mythic presence, while the intricate rendering of the wool showcases remarkable depth and tactility.

The original artwork was created using pastel pastel chalks on paper.
